David Hopper has over 40 years of energy and power experience.  Hopper has provided, both domestically and internationally, management services and energy technology solutions for industrial companies, institutions and the US Department of Defense. Hopper has served as president of an energy services company that provided distributed generation resources and automation controls to manufacturing companies and institutions.  

Hopper in recent years has conducted utility rate studies for the Department of Defense (DOD) and a number of private companies.  He has designed and deployed advanced metering systems for power and energy measurement and billing.  He has conducted life cycle cost analyses, and prepared solicitations for the installation of energy conservation projects.  Hopper recently developed a power quality and power management plan for an Icelandic manufacturing client.  Iceland produces 100% of its electric power production from its renewable resources, hydroelectric and geothermal.

Recent Distributed Power and Utility Project Experience

  • Developer of 20 MW solar PV facility nearby Richmond, Virginia
  • Member of 35 person team to develop the Air Force Facilities Strategic Energy Plan 2010
  • Negotiated large volume green energy purchase from Georgia Power Company resulting in Robins AFB, GA becoming the largest consumer of green power in the State of Georgia
  • Project developer and coordinator for construction of 22 MVA substation at Robins AFB and transmission line extension to serve new power station
  • Negotiated green power contract with Flint Energy, Warner Robins, GA to supply over 90% green power to the Robins AFB Air Museum

Adams has provided and arranged commercial funding for real estate, joint venture, and capital investment projects globally. A few of the diverse projects include national and international wind farms and electrical power generation, construction of solar farms and biomass plants, capital investment in medical manufacturers, joint venture funding in multiple business classifications, and conventional loans for apartment complexes. Projects financed range in size from $ 10,000,000 to $ 1,500,000,000.

Adams's experience includes brokering commercial non-performing notes, funding construction of shopping centers, apartments, and joint venture funding for projects nationwide. Provides commercial real estate mortgage brokerage with offices or loan officers in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Texas specializing in the small to medium commercial loans.

Exporter of commodities to Japan, Taiwan, Caribbean, South America, Canada and Europe. Investors and sales agents for iron ore, tantalum and gold mines. Trading D2 Diesel, Mazut M100 GOST, Grade 54 jet fuel, Crude GOST.
